About Me

I am a mother, an immigrant and a global businesswoman, and have been proud to call Oakville my home for almost 20 years. Since immigrating from the island nation of Mauritius in 1990 (31 years ago), I have been blessed with the opportunities this amazing country provides. I also have close to 25 years of business experience, holding a variety of different positions with a large, multinational IT company.

I have a unique, global, inclusive outlook on life from my journey that is complemented by my experience in raising three boys.

Community is also a large part of who I am; whether it’s championing issues close to my heart with Zonta International, Halton Women’s Place, Ontario Trillium Foundation or using my experiences as an immigrant to help support newcomers in establishing their new lives in Canada.

I believe deeply in the importance of building strong communities, which is demonstrated by my management of two political campaigns at both the federal and provincial levels and my candidacy in 2019.

As a compelling spokesperson and interviewer, I have appeared in several TV shows and Fashion shows, and most recently hosted “Tag Talk” on Tag TV.
